TEEN SUMMER ROWING CAMPS for 2006
This summer there will be four different weeks of summer camps for teens to select from. These classes are designed to teach novices the necessary basics of rowing, teamwork, training concepts, and how to have fun while working hard.
Snacks and cold drinks will be provided for participants during a break in the middle of the morning. Bring a change of clothes, as we may be swimming if it is warm!
Dates, Times, Cost, and Ages:
All camps runs from 8am - 11:45am, Monday - Friday.
Cost is $75.

- June 19 - 23
- July 10 - 14
- July 24 - 28
All Participants should be ages 12-18, or attending 8th through 12th grade in the fall.

Fundamentals of the rowing stroke
How to continue as a full Lake Lanier Rowing Club Junior Member
Location:
We will be meeting at the Lake Lanier Rowing and Canoeing Center, site of the 1996 Olympic Rowing events. The first day we will learn the basics of the rowing stroke on ergometers, and then jump in the lake to take a swimming test. All participants must be able to tread water for ten minutes. The remaining days will be a combination of rowing on the water, rowing on land, watching rowing video tapes, and games.

There is only room for twenty participants, so please register early! Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis, please call for information.
